Pediaclinic provides a more affordable alternative for families to see experienced pediatric providers in the evenings and on weekends. Here is a list of what we see...when you should come to PediaClinic….and when you should take your child to the Emergency Room.

  • Abdominal Pain in Females
  • Asthma Attack with mild wheezing
  • Allergies/allergic reaction (breathing OK)
  • Bronchiolitis (RSV)
  • Bloody Nose
  • Burns – (less than 3 inches long)
  • Colic (Crying Baby)
  • Concussions
  • Constipation
  • Coughs
  • COVID-19 exposure (symptoms or no symptoms)
  • COVID-19 Immunizations
  • Croup
  • Diarrhea
  • Ear Pain or Tugging
  • Eye Infection
  • Eye Injury
  • Fainting (Syncope)
  • Fever (Age 3 mo to 21 years)
  • Fractures (splint only; no casting)
  • Head Injury
  • Headache – Migraine
  • Influenza
  • Insect Bite/Sting
  • Lacerations (<1 in)
  • Periods - painful menstruation

  • Rash - e.g Roseola

Emergency Room

  • Allergic reaction with trouble breathing or vomiting
  • Asthma attack with trouble breathing after treatment
  • Breathing trouble or blue lips/fingers
  • Broken bone (bone deformed or coming out of skin)
  • Burns (any serious, electrical, acid or burns involving the face)
  • Concern for abuse or neglect
  • Cuts that won’t stop bleeding
  • Dehydration
  • Difficulty responding or waking up
  • Fever in children younger than 60 days old
  • Head injury with persistent vomiting or behavior change
  • Hives with trouble breathing
  • Ingestions (call Poison Control first: 800-222-1222)
  • Insect bite or sting with trouble breathing
  • Lethargic or noticeably less activity than usual
  • Migraine or severe headache with neck pain
  • Numbness, paralysis, weakness or vision loss
  • Object stuck in skin or eye (don’t pull it out)
  • Seizures that won’t stop speech or trouble speaking
  • Suicide attempt or threat to self or others
  • Swallowed button battery
  • Swallowed any object with trouble breathing
